This was a project I created campaigning the awareness of the decline in the bee population worldwide. Since this is a worldwide issue, something with minimal text to rely on seemed like a good fit.

Using a softer, more 'cute' style, I aimed to make something people would actually want to look at.

To problem-solve speaking a message without any words, I turned to visual solutions such as substitution and modification to merge the idea of absence with the idea of bees.

The deliverable is a series of three posters that  can be displayed together or apart, and still have a feeling of unity between the illustration style and the common coffin/honey comb pattern background.
